DO YOU ...
... find yourself looking up at aircraft that flies over ?
... stop what you are doing when hearing an airliner ?
... try to figure which airline it is or where it is going ?
... find yourself at an airport or airfield and get lost in the sights & sounds of aircraft, taking off &landing ?
... take note of the registration & take enjoyment in identifying the type & even dash numbers of the plane ?
... wish to discuss what you have just observed with other bystanders ?
... wish there was somebody you could share what you have seen, somebody who might just be able to fill in some finer points of which you were not aware ?
... wish you could join a group of like minded souls & discuss aircraft, different airlines that grace our skies, either on a regular schedule or only infrequently ?
... did you know that such a group does exist, & has for over 30 years, a group of plane spotters with boundless knowledge of their movements, their past, tech stuff, colour schemes & who owns them ?
The AVIATION SOCIETY OF AFRICA exists to share sightings, pictures, airline news & to display
members photographs, both current and of a historic nature, local & international at the monthly
meetings. Here latest news and events are discussed and there are also two lively e-mail forums
for general news & spotter queries.
Enthusiasts and those who have more than just a passing interest in aircraft are welcome to join
the Society by either attending a meeting or making contact with our members via the website or
by phone. We look forward to you, becoming a member of ASA.
